Club Treasurer’s Checklist

1. The "Subscription Trap"

Question: Is there a flat monthly fee, and does it increase if we add more teams or members?

The connectMyClub standard: We charge a simple £1 per member, per year. If you have 100 members, you pay £100. There are no "Pro" or "Elite" tiers to unlock basic features.

2. The "Website Tax"

Question: Is a public-facing website included in the price, or is it a paid "add-on" or monthly subscription?

The connectMyClub standard: The system to power your website is completely free. While you maintain your own hosting for independence, we never charge you a monthly fee just to have a public presence.

3. The "Hidden Transaction Margin"

Question: What is the total percentage taken from every payment? Does the provider add a "platform fee" on top of the Stripe/PayPal cost?

The connectMyClub standard: We are 100% transparent. We only charge 0.7% - 0.9% and Stripe charges 1.5% + 20p. Many other providers bundle these into a single, higher fee (like 3% or 4%) to hide their own profit margin.

Question: Do we have to pay a minimum monthly subscription even if we are a small startup club?
